Rain forced a cancellation of opening qualifying play in the eighth annual ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony – a $25,000 USTA Pro Circuit clay court event. As a result, 38 first and second round singles qualifying matches will be held on Monday, starting at 9 a.m.
Contested on the clay courts at the Sea Colony Tennis Center, just south of Bethany Beach, Del., today through June 10, the USTA Pro Circuit Event attracted a qualifying field of women’s professional tennis players representing nearly a dozen countries on five continents.
