East Side Parking Lots will be Seal Coated Starting September 25

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The entire east side parking area, both in the garages and the outside parking lots, will be seal coated as well as all spaces, lines, numbers and letters being reapplied to the surface of the pavement beginning Monday, September 25, 2023 through mid to late October 2023.


WHAT TO EXPECT

Driving and parking restrictions will be in effect during this project. Safety Officers will be directing vehicles where to enter/park throughout the project. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS WHEN ENTERING THE EAST SIDE PARKING AREAS. The contractor will be working diligently to complete this project expeditiously and we are trying to keep all access open for owners and guests. It will be busy with a lot of truck traffic and it will be noisy! Please be reminded that this is considered an active construction area.


Parking Restrictions on the entire east side will be lifted on Friday, September 15, 2023, so please park where convenient in the outside parking lots. Please ensure your parking permit is visible at all times.


TENTATIVE PROJECT SCHEDULE

  • Saturday, September 23, 2023 - Effective at 5 pm – Garage areas of Annapolis, Brandywine, Chesapeake, Dover and Edgewater will be CLOSED. All vehicles must be removed from these areas. The garages will be blocked off and no entry will be permitted.

  • Monday, September 25, 2023 – Contractors will begin at the Edgewater garage, working their way north under each garage, ending at Annapolis. Estimated time frame – approximately 2 weeks.

  • Saturday, October 7, 2023 / Effective at 5 pm – Garage areas of Farragut, Georgetowne, Harbour and Island will be CLOSED. All vehicles must be removed from these area's. The garages will be blocked off and no entry will be permitted.

  • Monday, October 9, 2023 – Contractors will begin at Farragut garage, working their way south under each garage, ending at Island. Estimated time frame – approximately 2 weeks.

  • Tuesday, October 17, 2023 - Contractors will begin sections of the south side parking lot areas.

  • Monday, October 30, 2023 – Contractors will begin the north side parking lot area.

The start/end times for this project will be as follows:

Monday through Friday: 7am - 6pm

Saturday & Sunday: 8am - 6pm


This is an aggressive schedule to complete the project with the least amount of inconvenience to the owners and guests as possible. This project is weather sensitive. It is possible that the contractor will be able to accelerate this project. If it is raining, the contractors WILL NOT be working.


HOW TO ACCESS THE INDOOR POOL & FITNESS ROOM AT EDGEWATER HOUSE

The indoor pool and fitness room at Edgewater House will be open and accessible. While the lots under the buildings are being resurfaced, the indoor pool and fitness room may be accessed via the main entrance of the Edgewater House lobby, or via the north entrance on the lower level of Edgewater (entrance doors for the community rooms), or via the Edgewater Promenade.


While the outdoor/front parking lots are being resurfaced, the indoor pool and fitness room may be accessed via the entrance door accessible in the parking garage or via the Edgewater promenade.


HOW TO ACCESS THE BEACH

Please note that when the garage for each building is CLOSED, access to the beach will be available from the outside entry (grassy area) of the opposite side (north or south) buildings.


ATTENTION East Side Owners and Guests of all East Side Buildings:

Access to the beach is available by taking the elevator to the first (1st) floor of your building and proceeding to the promenade. NOTE: Since the garage area is CLOSED, beach lockers will not be accessible. Please make sure you have any and all items needed (chairs/umbrellas/beach toys) from your beach locker and store them inside your unit or by your vehicle. Items CANNOT be stored along the walkway as it is a fire safety hazard.


Rentals: If you rent your unit, either through an agency or personally, it is your responsibility to notify all parties of this schedule. There will be noise but your unit WILL BE accessible at all times. Please obey all directions/signage as well as using CAUTION when entering the parking lot areas.


**Please be reminded that all dates listed are “TENTATIVE”. It is possible that the contractor may accelerate this schedule and Management will notify you via email of any changes as they become available. Notifications/updates will be sent as this project is underway. Thank you for your patience.
