Sea Colony, the premier beach & racquet sports community just south of Bethany Beach, DE, is thrilled to announce the promotion of Gene Cutter, PTR, to the position of Director of Racquet Sports. Cutter, who has served as Head Professional at Sea Colony, brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the Sea Colony community.
A certified PTR professional with over 24 years of experience, Cutter has worked with players of all ages and skill levels. His coaching focuses on helping players improve their skills while fostering a positive mindset. Recently, Cutter was honored as the 2024 Teaching Professional of the Year by the United States Tennis Association (USTA), Delaware District. This prestigious award recognizes his outstanding coaching and dedication to advancing tennis in the community.
In his new role, Cutter will oversee all aspects of the tennis and pickleball programs, including instruction, tournaments, and special events. Known for its world-class facilities—comprising 46 tennis and pickleball courts—Sea Colony has consistently been recognized as one of the nation’s premier racquet sports destinations.
