Sea Colony - a leader in promoting and developing the sport of tennis both locally and regionally

Sea Colony takes great pride in helping to grow the game of tennis. This work is evident by the awards the tennis facility consistently receives, both for its outstanding facilities and world-class professional instructors. Aside from being recognized with accolades and plaques, Sea Colony is a leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth, locally and regionally.

With that, we are pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2023, Sea Colony Director of Racquet Sports, Alejandro "Alex" Justiniani has been confirmed to the 2023-24 Middle States Board of Directors as well as to the Delaware District Council. Board members serve two-year terms, work closely with USTA staff leadership to manage the direction of the section, and participate in national meetings, while also leading various committees and project teams. While on the Delaware District Council, Alex will serve locally to implement the USTA mission, working closely with USTA members, providers, volunteers and staff.

In addition to his election to the Middle States Board of Directors and Delaware District Council, we are also excited to announce that Alex was recently awarded Professional Tennis Registry's (PTR) 2022 State Member of the Year for Delaware. This award is presented to a PTR member in the US who has shown dedication and diligence in promoting and supporting tennis and PTR. Congratulations Alex!

Alex and the Sea Colony Racquet Sports staff would not be able to teach at such a high level without a great facility to provide the resources to do so. The Sea Colony Tennis Center received the 2022 USTA Outstanding Facility Award, the only facility to receive this award three times, in 2012, 2016, and 2022, since the USTA Facility Awards Program began 41 years ago. Sea Colony is focused on not only growing their tennis programming, but also to help facilitate the growth of the sport in the surrounding area. With the tagline “The Premier Family Beach and Tennis Community” Sea Colony has cemented their devotion and commitment to keeping this sport growing for generations to come.
